Marcelina Nimacachí Matzar
Marcelina Nimacachí Matzar lives with her 5 children and her mother in Santa Catarina Palopo on Lake Atitlán. Recently, Marcelina has been having economic troubles being as her mother has been having health problems and her house has been under major construction. While I was taking these photographs her house was in a constant state of disarray.
Marcelina enjoys weaving and attending to her guests as neighbors drop by for the afternoon cup of coffee. It is common for Marcelina to talk about the recent news in the village while weaving and discussing with an afternoon guest.
